    I bought a Lenovo F309 Portable HDD to backup files when I was clean installing windows 10 from 8.1. It was bought 2 or 3 years ago. After I upgraded to windows 10 it worked but one day it wasn't detecting. When I connected it, the light on it used to stay on but now it keeps blinking and In windows i can see it connecting and disconnecting within a second or two. I tried to connect it to my TV but the same thing happening. In the cover of the HDD, it says "OS:Windows 7/8" but in Lenovo's website it is saying this HDD supports Windows 7 and above. I have data in it and need to get it out. If I

    Hi Graham,

    In most cases, this may already point to a hardware issue. We suggest doing the following to properly isolate this:

    • Connect your portable HDD to a different port.
    • Connect your portable HDD to a different PC.
    • Connect other storage devices.

    If you find that other storage devices work properly and your portable HDD still encounters an error with other computers, then this is already a hardware issue and you'll need to get in touch with the device manufacturer for assistance and troubleshooting.

    I installed Drive update, installed USB3.00 port, yet it is not detecting Lenovo HDD

    Portable HDD (Lenovo) not working on Windows 10

    I have Windows 10 OS on my desktop. I can not connect my Portable HDD (Lenovo) through USB 2.00 despite it is USB 2.00 compatible. It works on Windows 7 and Windows XP. Pl. advise me to solve my problem.
