Windows 10: Lenovo Laptop does not allow me to exit s mode

The get button does not light up blue which is meant to happen. This does not allow me to exit out of S mode. I have tried everything from updates to restarting. Please give me a solution to this

I suggest you to try the below steps to exit from the Safe mode on Windows 10.

Steps to place the computer in normal mode.

• Press Windows + R keys to open
  Run command.
• Type msconfig and press
  Enter.
• In the System Configuration window, click on
  General tab.
• Select Start-up selection as
  Normal startup, click on Apply
  and Ok.
• Follow onscreen instructions.

We noticed that you are trying to switch out S mode in your laptop. It is certainly a headache to adjust this kind of problem because apparently there are certain extent of uncertainty behind it. And to be honest, because the highly restrictive nature of S mode in community there is little thing we could do about it.



May I know:

• How long have you purchased that laptop? Because S mode is actually a very strict mode which is not very useable for daily user. It is primary designed for educational and security purposes if I remember correctly.
  

• Did you have regular access to internet on that computer? Because the exit of S mode would require your device to contact with the server.
  

• How many times you tried to exit? Some users report you can get the exit operation work by give another try. Also not a instructive suggestion I suppose.
  

Here is a couple thing you could check before you trying to exit the safe mode:

• Make sure your Microsoft Account that you're signed into Windows is not connected to school/work --- personal account.
  
• Make sure the system is update. Check that under Setting > Windows update
  

After that, there is some report says you might exit the secure mode after disable the secure boot. This setting should be found under the BIOS setting, however there are no universal way to find. For that you might need to contact the tech- support of Lenovo. Or you could try to enter the BIOS screen give us some screenshot we might help you find out how.
