Windows 10: Lenovo laptop isn't showing USB boot drive in UEFI boot mode

So I'm trying to download a new OS to my PC but for some reason my BIOS can't detect USB drive in UEFI mode, the legacy mode works but I can't get the OS downloader on legacy mode

ATIFlash won't boot before Windows 8.1 64bit (boot sequence skips the DOS files in the USB Drive)

Laptop doesn't boot properly in UEFI mode

In general, if your laptop was originally set up with UEFI mode and Windows pre-installed in that mode, it should not be necessary to switch to legacy mode for it to boot properly.

#Go to BIOS and make sure that the boot order is set up correctly, UEFI mode with the hard drive that Windows is installed on at the top of the list.

#Secure Boot is a UEFI feature that ensures that only trusted software can boot on the system. However, sometimes it can cause boot issues. Try disabling temporary and check if you can boot.

you can also try repairing the Windows Boot Manager.

Boot into the Windows recovery environment

(hold down the Shift key while restarting Windows) and choose the Troubleshooting option. From there, you can choose advanced options and then Startup Repair.

UEFI vs Legacy boot mode

I just found out I'm running at "Legacy" boot mode.
Are there any downsides running my Skylake system in "Legacy" boot mode?

I don't really want to reinstall windows.
Also I have no problems with my SSD, speeds are as they should be.

Just booting up my system takes some time, maybe it just would be faster booting with UEFI?
My Asus Gaming laptop is booting up faster.
