Discus and support Lenovo Laptop sound option set to DTS:X Home Theater no sound in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; I can't figure out why if i set my soundcard setting to DTS:X for Home theater and i try to play anything on VLC or Windows Media Player I get no sound...     Lenovo Laptop sound option set to DTS:X Home Theater no sound


    I can't figure out why if i set my soundcard setting to DTS:X for Home theater and i try to play anything on VLC or Windows Media Player I get no sound on my Nakamishi soundbar it even causes the soundbar to lagPlease look at the video and listen to how many clicks it takes for the volume on the soundbar to displayThe strange thing DTS works perfect when i use KodiAnd Dolby works perfect on anything i do on my laptop but I want to leave my laptop set on DTS

    i bought DTS-X in the microsoft store, but it doesn't work; also not to see in the list of Spatial |Sounds

    Sound Card Advice

    In order to get DTS support, both sound card and speakers need to be compatible. And yes only some sound cards support DTS and dolby.

    X-fi/audigy

    • DTS/DD in compatible DVD movies
    • DTS/DD in compatible games
    • NO DTS/DD in mp3s/wavs/downloaded movies
    • EAX 3.0-5.0

    x-mystique/x-plosion/turtle beach montego

    • DTS/DD in any DVD movie
    • DTS/DD in any game
    • DTS/DD in any MP3 or sound file format
    • EAX 2.0
    The only advantages that creative have is EAX 3.0-5.0, but seriously EAX sucks in comparison to DTS and Dolby.

    As you have issues with sound on Windows 10, I suggest you to try the below and check.



    Steps to update the drivers for audio.

    • Press Windows+X and click on Device Manager.
    • Expand Audio inputs and outputs, right click on the
      Realtek High Definition Audio and click on
      Update driver software.


    To find drivers for sound on Toshiba laptop, I suggest you to refer to the below link:
