Windows 10: Lenovo Laptop stuck on gray screen

When I turn on my lenovo laptop the lenovo sign pops up then theres loading dots. After that the screen turns black then Lenovo logo pops up. "Preparing Automatic Repair" shows up and the loading dots then it gets stuck on a gray screen.Can somebody help me get past this?


Btw before this happened I was listening to music on my laptop then I fell asleep and woke up in the middle of the night and turned off the laptop by using the button not by clicking "shut down". Then I shut the laptop and went back to sleep. Now I cant even go past the gray screen


I left it on for a couple hours and still hasnt "fixed itself" I dont know what to do now.....


Two-three days ago my laptop had to repair itself for some reason bc it automatically turned off idk if thats related to my problem up above or not.

I also had a problem with my computer double clicking even if I used keypad or mouse. I couldnt find a solution so I was gonna reset PC but now I cant

I would like suggestions and look in local stores. I dont wanna buy a laptop from someone online. Sorry. But could be a good idea if you asked him about the performance on older games. Gonna make a list ofall laptops people suggest me.

Remove the screen for space purpose here its small desk and if the screen is opened it will hide my 22 inches lcd

Hi everyone

I noticed a lot of locked threads, regarding users of Windows 10 with Lenovo Laptops, who are suffering the grayed out screen rotation setting, and/or touchscreen loss;

the issue is because of a process called ymc.exe (Yoga Mode Control), found in process manager

just open process manager to deactivate the process and not allow it to activate automatically (switch off , byright clicking on the process itself in the process list). It is responsible for both grayed out lock screen, and loss of capacitive touchscreen
functionality. To ungray the screen lock, simply deactivate YMC.EXE

But the touchscreen loss may or may not come back when a Windows update happens. If you delete ymc.exe. the laptop works fine, but Lenovo Updates will replace it again.
