    Lenovo T490 fan 100% + micro stutter after 2004 update from 1909


    Sup, Lenovo T490, working fine on 1909, fan spun up pretty often but it made sense considering number of programs I had open.

    Update to 2004, fan is now at 100% all the time even with nothing but OS open. I have a cooling pad, set CPU and GPU (integrated) to max power savings or balanced in BIOS and from Windows interfaces.

    A few hours ago started getting microstuttering too, even after reboot.

    No Lenovo updates to download, did a Disk Cleanup of old Windows versions and everything else temporary from 1909.

    Laptop's new, 3 months of use, no problems before 2004.

    Any suggestions? I will always hate mac and never use one unless forced, but Windows 10 is making me hate MS as much as I hate apple. We just couldn't stay on the wonder that was Win7 and have nice things, could we? No.....

    fan running continually after 2004 update

    Just updated Windows from 1909 to 2004, and now it seems the fan runs continually. Anyone else notice this? How to fix?

    2004 feature update

    have lenovo 310 desktop .have been trying for months to update to 2004 but with no success.have tried everything but no..it prepares =100%downloads 100%installs100% but fails on restart everytime. any suggestions please

    Micro Stuttering in windows

    This week I started experiencing some micro stuttering in a few games of mine I play regularly and thought it was a game issue but after leaving the game I kept having the same problem. I thought it might have been a monitor issue but it happens on all 3
    of my monitors and it happens in everything, chrome, games, settings. Its just a constant stutter every half second to second whatever on the screen stops. I have tried driver updates, both for GPU and windows. This problem happened before I did the updates
    but didn't have any recent updates before the problem stated.

    System:

    cpu: 3800x

    gpu: 1660ti and 4200k

    mobo: x470

    ram: 32gb

    windows: win 10 ver. 2004

    not sure what other information to give and any help would be great
