Windows 10: Lenovo ThinkPad X1 carbon mobile hotspot greyed out and cannot turn on.

Lenovo ThinkPad hotspot. Hotspot in my laptop tells me that “we can’t set up mobile hotspot because your PC doesn’t have an Ethernet, WiFi, or cellular connection” when I try turning it on to connect to my mobile hotspot. Both turning on/off button and edit button are greyed out. Ps:Mobile hotspot on my iPhone is working fine and I can turn it on and off. Sometimes, it connects to the laptop and sometimes, this issue of disabling turn on button on the laptop just happens. What could be the problem? Please, help. Thank you.

I have found out how to activate Windows on Windows 10, my friend is having issues activating his windows on Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon. He says he cannot get onto his work WiFi, so activating windows is hard. What should he do?
