Windows 10: lenovo VR explorer code 43 USB not recognized

ive tried multiple tips on this and none work, ive tried re downloading the drivers through device manager, nothing, ive tried uninstalling and re installing, nothing, ive tried alot ive tried to turn on a diffrent battery setting, that didnt work, ive went to multiple guides, my headset works cause when i plug the USB 3.0 into the dedicated 3.0 port the LCD display shows white for .5 of a second and then shows this error, i know its getting the right amount of power and i know it worked at one point cause my friend gave me this as a gift and its showing this error and ive used other headsets

1. What is the make and model of the computer?

2. What is the exact error message you read when the headset is connected?

Error 43 is caused by the drivers controlling the device, notifying the Operating System that the device failed in some manner. However, I would recommend you to look for the system requirements to examine if it’s compatible
with Windows 10. To know the specifications, check
Lenovo explorer system requirements.

Also, the issue seems to be with the headset, try connecting the headset to a different PC and check if the issue persists. Kindly look over the following steps and see if it helps.

Step 1: Reinstall the device driver manually.

• From Start, search for device manager and select
  Device Manager from the results.
• Right-click the device in the list.
• Select Uninstall from the menu that appears.
• After the device is uninstalled, choose Action on the
  menu bar.
• Select Scan for hardware changes to reinstall the driver.

Note: You may be prompted to provide the path of the driver. If you are asked for the driver and you do not have it, you can try to download the latest driver from the hardware vendor’s website.

Step 2: Hardware setup.

• Do not connect the Y-cable USB 3.0 connector to the USB 2.0 connector on your computer. Otherwise, the Lenovo Explorer headset might not work correctly.
  
• The maximum allowable distance between the Y-cable connectors is about 38 cm (15 inches). Depending on the distance between the corresponding connectors on your computer, you might need an extension cable, such as a USB 3.0 extension cable, to complete
  the connection.

USB device not recognized (Code 43)

Hi David,

Welcome to Microsoft Community. Your interest in Windows 10 is much appreciated.

Method 1: I would suggest you to run
Hardware and devices troubleshooter and see if that helps!

a) Open Control Panel.

b) Write Troubleshooting in the search box right up corner and hit enter.

c) Click on Troubleshooting tab.

d) Click on view all option on the upper left corner.

e) Select the Hardware and Device options from the list.

f) Click Next to run the Hardware and Device
Troubleshooter.

Method 2: Disable and re-enable all the
Universal Serial Bus controllers (USB) controllers.

The USB controllers represent the USB ports in Device Manager.

To disable and re-enable the USB controllers, follow these steps:

a) Open Device Manager.

b) Expand Universal Serial Bus controllers.

c) Note: You might have to scroll down the list to find this item.

d) Right-click the first USB controller under
Universal Serial Bus controllers, and then click Uninstall to remove it.

e) Repeat the above step for each USB controller that is listed under
Universal Serial Bus controllers.

f) Restart the computer. After the computer starts, Windows will automatically scan for hardware changes and

g) Reinstall all the USB controllers that you uninstalled.
