Windows 10: Lenovo Windows tablet internal monitor not working while external monitor is working...

I have this Lenovo Thinkpad Windows tablet, which I have had for quite a a few years and has proven to be one of the best I have ever used. Unfortunately, literally, after my hubby touched the tablet :{ , the actual tablet monitor stopped working and only the TV screen working as an external monitor connected via mini HDMI as the tablet has a female mini hdmi socket still works and this way I can still access the tablet and work windows 10. My actual issue is that the display function does not work and does not let me change the settings. Until now, before hubby touched the tablet, the t

Regarding your issue, I'd suggest trying to connect the external monitor while in laptop mode to ensure that it is detected properly by the computer. Once you have successfully connected the monitor, you can then switch to tablet mode and the display should continue to function as expected.

If that doesn't work, you can also try adjusting the settings for your display by going to the "Display Settings" in your control panel. From there, you can select the external monitor and adjust the resolution, orientation, and other settings to ensure that it's functioning properly.

External monitor stopped working suddenly

I have been using an external monitor with my Lenovo laptop. Today it suddenly stopped working. I have tried the following:

- connected the monitor and the laptop with an HDMI cable (does not work)

- connected the monitor to docking station, which is connected to the laptop (does not work)

- connected another laptop to the docking station (works)

- connected another laptop to the monitor using HDMI (works)

Obviously, the probelm is not cable or the monitor (or the HDMI port on the non working laptop since it doesn't work with the docking station either).

I have tried restarting the laptop, removing the driver, updating the driver, rolling it back. Nothing has worked.

Any suggestions?

currently running windows 10 on a envy x360, im trying to connect it to a external monitor while in tablet mode. However when i try to connect while in tablet mode the monitor goes black, is there a work around for this?
