Windows 10: Lenovo X240 and Windows 10 update 1809\1903

I have Lenovo X240

I'm unable to upgrade my system to Windows 1809 or 1903

Are you aware of any issue with this model ?

Is it doable at all or X240 is too old

W10 1809 to 1903 update

Lenovo ThinkCentre E73, I have updated from W10 1809 to 1903 and the PC has now gone really slow and having issues with admin rights, I have chkdsk'd and scannow'd' but no issues found. Tried an inplace update in case windows was corrupted and get the
message some hardware on this PC is incompatible with 1903 update. Can anyone shed any light in these issues please. I have had to revert to 1809 to make the PC usable again. Any suggestions please ? Microsoft have said Lenovo are responsible and Lenovo have
said Microsoft is responsible, which does not help me one bit.

 

Update Windows 10 - From 1809 to 1903

If we suppose we have windows 10 1903 in DVD or USB.

Can we update windows 10 1809 to 1903 with 1903's DVD? (offline update)

 

Cannot Update Lenovo Ideapad to Windows 1809 or 1903.

I have a Lenovo Miix Ideapad 700-121sk notebook computer running windows 10 pro. Since windows update 1803 have not be able to update the operating system. Have tried 1803, 1809 and 1903 updates multiple times. All other updates have been applied.

I have made sure no usb devices are connected, disabled all non microsoft software using msconfig. No auto start up of applications, including Google, etc. No antivirus software except Windows Defender.

Have run CCleaner and Advanced systemcare to clean registry, remove junk. Have also used Tweaking for Windows to clean up the system.

Have run sfc /scannow, used DISM, stopped the windows update service and deleted with each attempt the software distribution directory, have updated all drivers using Intel's app as well as Drive Booster 6 and checked Lenovo's support page, and have also
used the Windows update troubleshooter application.

Each time I have tried the update whether using windows update, media creation tool, create an ESD folder and run from there, etc. it always fails in Second_boot phase with an error during Boot operation. Most of the time with error code:

0xc1900101 - 0x40017

Sometimes it just fails without error codes.

Based on my searches it probably is a driver issue, but using the applications above, have updated every single driver that can be updated. I have also checked the list of computers that can be updated, my system is on the list for 1809 but even that update
fails the same way.

So the question is what else can be tried to update the system. Could it be a hardware issue that one driver cannot work around? Is there any other software that can find the 1 driver causing the issue, or is it another issue. I would prefer not to reinstall
the operating system from scratch and reinstall my apps, etc.
