Windows 10: Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro - doggy after sleep

I have a Yoga 2 Pro, i7, 8Gb RAM, 256Gb SSD.

After sleep from closing the lid, the system is very doggy and laggy. A reboot solves the issue but since that is not the speediest I'd rather not have to do it. I've tried waiting a bit after waking to see if it is loading/running something it needs to after sleep, but that doesn't seem to make a difference.

This is a W10 upgrade done right after a virginized install of the W8.1 from the recovery method. W8.1 runs fast and doesn't have any issues with sleep. All drivers have been updated from Lenovo after the install of W10. When I use it after a boot/reboot all is good. The system is responsive with no issues.

Checked with Task Manager to see if something is running that might cause it, but nothing is obvious.

I don't have that issue. Mine is showing 64-bit windows installed.

I've been looking over the system a bit and it appears that I have a few 'clouds' active, with some syncing going on at times. So the last time it was doggy, I just let it sit awake for a bit and did some other things on my Chromebook and came back to it. Whatever it was finally finished doing whatever it needed to and the system was responsive as it should be. I guess since I need it to do that syncing it is just something I have to put up with.

Oddly, the SP2 I have doesn't do it and it is set up nearly identically to the Yoga 2 Pro.

 

I think I found the culprit that was causing this. Checked in 'startup items' and found Lenovo Transitions which is a program that monitors being desktop, tablet or stand mode. Disabled that and things are very much better.

To try to figure out what was doing it I set the Yoga to not having any apps open, closed the lid and things were doggy when I woke it back up. So I figured it had to be something that was running in the background. Brought up the SP2 and looked at what was in 'startup items' and compared the two. Found a few differences and identified what each was and then started with 'transitions' since I knew it wasn't really needed in any meaningful sense.
