Windows 10: Letters keys on keyboard aren’t responding

Haven’t turned on my pc in about 3 months. When I booted it up all my keys work except any of my letter keys. I’ve tried restarting the PC and unplugged the keyboard. I’m not very good at tech and I can’t sign into my computer. Thank you! Also the keys don’t feel stuck and it’s pretty clean a little dusty but not very dirty as I bought this keyboard about a year ago

There are two number keys on a keyboard, the Number Pad found at the right-side of the keyboard and the ones above the letter keys. We'd like to ask a few questions to help us identify why it's not responding:

• Were there any newly installed updates or applications on the device?
• Are you able to remember when did it start happening?
• What have you done so far to resolve this?
• Which number keys are unresponsive, above the letter keys or the Number Pad?

I originally posted this thread looking for a backlit NKRO keyboard. I got a Deck Legend Ice Tactile in April 2010 and as of July 2012 could not be more satisfied (see post #9 in this thread).

Follow the below steps and check if it helps.

I would suggest you to use the On Screen Keyboard by click on Ease of access login to the computer and then follow the below methods.



Uninstall keyboard driver and install the latest drivers from the manufacturer website.

• Press Windows key + X key when you are at desktop.
• Select Device Manager.
• Expand Keyboard.
• Right on the Keyboard driver and click on Uninstall.
• Install the latest drivers from the manufacturer website.
