Windows 10: Lexar Professional SD XC 1000x error mesage

Why would my lexar professional SD XC 64gb 1000x not open pictures on my laptop? I am getting a message that says it is a file format that is not supported. I took them with my Canon 750d dslr camera. I do have other photos on the SD cared from 2018 that I am able to open. I am at a loss. Any advice would be appreciated. I took family photos using the above SD card and now that I am wanting to edit photos, I am unable to access these files. They are saved in a JPEG file format. When I compare the format of these photos with the others saved on this card, they don't look as if they are on a dif

64 GB Lexar SD Card cannot be accessed by windows 10

I solved the problem.

It showed to be not a windows 10 issue but a cardreader issue.

I bought the nex lexar SD cards roughly at the same time that I installed windows 10 and I could not access the SD cards (though could access the card at my laptop, camera etc) and blamed windows 10.

After some deduction I wondered whether not the desktop (and windows 10) could be the problem but the Hama cardreader. I tried it out at my laptop with the same result: no access.

After purchasing a new cardreader the problem was solved.

I noticed that the Lexar SD cards are of type SDXC and apparently have another filing system that my Hama cardreader cannot access.
