    LF: Cheapest/Legit way to get a decent MS Office suite for one laptop


    I am fine with a one use key/OEM key. The person I am giving it to is using a laptop they plan on keeping so if that $30 for 1 time use key for office 2016 is legit I'm fine going for it. I just don't know which of these sites to trust or if there is a better way?

    Mainly my friend wants Word to be able to work on her resume

    Time to update MS Office

    A useful rule of thumb: buy MS products from MS.

    And there's no cheap way. It is free for mobile devices/tablets but with limitations.

    Subscription version of the suite (Office 365 Personal) is about £60/$70 per year which kinda sucks.

    They're not legit, but if you want something cheap, get Office 365. All online is the cheapest, and I think up to $8-12/mo if you want Office 2013 (2016 coming soon I believe) with or without Outlook Exchange services. Plus you get the benefit of having the newest stuff (if that matters...judging by running 2003 until 2015...that's not *Smile LF: Cheapest/Legit way to get a decent MS Office suite for one laptop :) ).

    Copies of MS Office are hard to come by cheap and legit. You might find a copy for sale on fleabay, just make sure the user has a good standing and reviews. I do know the 2013 Home and Business copies we sell at work run just over $200. Which really isn't that bad for a piece of software you rely on.
