Library View Options in Win 10 - How to "un-Group"?

    Win 10 Library View question:

To my Documents library which already has my user Documents folder I added the 'Documents' folder of the Public User and the Documents folder in OneDrive.
When I open the Documents library, I see folders and files grouped by those three locations. On my Win 7 machine, with the same setup, I saw a single list of folders followed by a single list of files each in sort order by name. I looked for the folder or file that I wanted without having to know its location.
It seems as though there is some "Group By' setting that needs to be changed, but I find no reference to it anywhere.

I did find a reference to changing the order of folders in a library.

    https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/73296-re-order-library-folders-windows-10-a.html

It even uses the word 'grouped' By default, grouped folders inside a library show in the same order in which youincluded them.
How can I get them un-grouped??

Ah - this 'seems' to do it -

    https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/34946-change-group-folder-view-windows-10-a.html

However, NAME is the wrong choice, since it groups the files/folders by beginning character.

To get a single list, choose NONE at the bottom of the list

    :)

regarding windows 10 home group options

    Hi,

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community. Let me assist you.

These may be the below possible reasons of you facing the issue. Please go through the points.

    • If a Home group already exists on your network, you'll be asked to join it instead of creating a new one.
    • If your PC belongs to a domain, you can join a home group but you can't create one. You can get to libraries and devices on other home group PCs, but you can't share your own libraries and devices with the home group.
If both the above scenarios doesn’t imply, then I would suggest you try the below steps.

    Steps:

    • Switch to an Administrator user account, in case you are not using one.

    • Run a Home group Troubleshooter to fix the issue.
Refer the below steps to run a Home group Troubleshooter.

    • Press Windows + X keys on the keyboard and select

    Library Folder View Options

    Hello,

I recently started using Windows 10. I have multiple library folders that I use to access them quickly from file explorer. I prefer to have all folders I'm using, display in Details view. I have all other folders set to default to details view, but my
library folders always default to large icon view.

I changed the options to Details in the main libraries folder, but it did not work. When I open a folder in a library and go to the options>view, the Apply to Folders button is greyed out so I can't seem to get it to work. I had no problem in Windows 7
    making all folders Details view.

How can I make all folders in my libraries default to Details view?

    Thank you.

Library View Options in Win 10 - How to "un-Group"?

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
