Windows 10: License move to a different version of Windows and different machine?

Many years ago a computer specialist put together a tower, including a full retail version of Windows 7 Pro. About 4 years ago I bought a Windows 10 laptop and significantly reduced my use of the tower. When support for Windows 7 ended, use of the tower reduced to emergency. My laptop keyboard failed and cannot reasonably be replaced so I configured it to be permanently attached to a docking station. The tower machine has too many non-windows 11 compliant components and is ready for eWaste. My plan now it to buy a fully Windows 11 compliant laptop to replace the tower machine. My question is

My plan now it to buy a fully Windows 11 compliant laptop to replace the tower machine. My question is am I able to transfer my windows 7 Pro license to a new laptop, replacing the OEM license it comes with? I need to be certain before making the 'buy' decision.

 

Difference in patches applied listing between to machines for KB5025230

Hi!

There is a difference in how patches applied are listing for KB5025230. On one machine it lists as two patches, Cumulative Update and Security Update and on the other machine it only lists as a Security Update. This is unsatisfactory! How is it supposed to be?

This is on Windows 2022 Datacenter Edition.

The listing is in settings -> Update & Security -> "View update history"

On one of the machines:

2023-04 Cumulative Update for Microsoft server operating system version 21H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5025230)

Security Update for Windows (KB5025230)

On the other machine:

Security Update for Windows (KB5025230)

Does anyone know exactly from where "settings -> Update & Security -> "View update history"" pulls its information? Because the source data is most likely different when it lists patches different like for the two machines I have.

what are the different versions of vista?

every one of the vistas i listed are for sale now at different sites everywhere.

like you i thought it was just 3 or 4 versions until i started shopping around.

plus most i listed come in 64 or 32 bit versions
