Windows 10: LifeCam incompatibility

I simply cannot believe that Microsoft developed a LifeCam that is incompatible with their own OS. I have attempted everything humanly and compterly possible to get find operating software for my LifeCam to no avail. I HAVE to think there is some deviousness behind this. It is as if Ford created a car but put wheels that would not turn on their own car. Am I to believe that the company who developed the worldwide standard for personal computing is too dense to make products for their own product?

Lifecam VX-6000 No Longer Works in Windows 10

Tried all three suggested troubleshooting steps. Installation still identifies that the program for installing Microsoft Lifecam VX-6000 drivers is incompatible with the version of Windows selected.

• Since when are you facing this issue?
• Did you make any changes to LifeCam prior to this issue?
• What exactly is the issue you are facing with LifeCam?

I suggest you to follow the steps provided below and check if it helps.

Method 1: Hardware and Device troubleshooter.

• Press Windows Key + X key, Click on Control Panel.
• Type troubleshooting in the search bar, click on troubleshooting.
• Click on Hardware and Sound, click on Hardware and Devices.
• Follow the steps from the wizard to run the troubleshooter.

Method 2: update drivers.



I suggest you to update your LifeCam drivers and check. Before you update the drivers, please enable the computer to get automatic updates,

You may also download the latest LifeCam and all other drivers from the manufacturer’s website and install it on your computer.
