  1. Limited Connection on all Windows 8.1 WiFi access points

My Windows 8.1 laptop has started giving me "Limited Connection" messages when I try to connect by wifi. It started when I tried to connect to a new D-Link-1610 wifi extender. The extender is conncted by ethernet to an 8 way switch which is in turn conected to a TP-Link VR2800 modem. When I go to "View Conncetion Settings" I can see the extender and the modem. If I connect to either of them, it "takes a longer than usual time to connect" and comes back with a "Limited Connection" message. On top of that, If I use my Android mobile as a Hot Spot, it also comes back saying "Limited Connection".

    :)

  2. Limited WiFi Connection

I have recently upgraded to Windows 10 and now my internet connection is limited for my WiFi.

When i try connect to my modem i just get limited connection but when I use my mobile phone hotspot it works just fine.

    I have tried the following;

To manually reset TCP/IP, follow these steps:

Note: You must be logged on to the computer as an administrator to perform the steps.

    1. On the Start search box, type CMD. In the search results, right-click Command Prompt, and then clickRun as administrator.

    2. At the command prompt, enter the following command, and then press Enter:netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt--

    AND

I would suggest you to update the drivers for the network adapter.

Steps update the drivers for the network adapter.

    Refer the following steps.

    • Click Start and type devmgmt.msc, and then Enter. The Device Manager window opens.

      b) Expand Network Adapter.

      c) Right click on the wireless network card and select Uninstall.

      d) Restart the computer. Windows should now install the drivers itself.

      e) Update the drivers in the same way but by selecting Update driver.

W10 can connect to wider internet but cannot access web pages

I have an odd issue with my W10 laptop linked to Sky broadband in the UK via wifi using a Sky router. The effect is that while I can actually access the internet (I can send and receive emails using Outlook and can connect to other machines using TeamViewer) I cannot access any web site (Google, BBC etc). There is no specific error message, merely that the access request timed out and a suggestion that it may be to do with proxy. I have tried the following:
    1. Other systems (W10 and ios) can access web sites using the same Sky router (therefore probably not a router problem)
    2. I have sent and received emails using Outlook, so the broadband connection is working (probably not a Sky problem)
    3. I have tried two different browsers (Firefox and Edge), no connection (not a browser problem)
    4. I am using Windows Defender and have:
      1. Made sure that Firefox is in the list of allowed systems in its Firewall, no connection after a reboot
      2. Turned off the Firewall and tried again - no connection
My next step will be to re-install Windows, but has anyone got any other suggestions? Could it be some sort of virus (I have carried out a complete virus check using Defender) So - any suggestions?

    Limited Connection Access?

Hey everyone, I recently put an i5 2500k with a Asrock z68 e3g3 in, and I don't understand why, but I'm getting limited internet access to some things.

    For instance,
    1) Only SOME pages in my browser load, others says "Connection lost" or whatever.
    2) EA's Origin says I'm not connected and can't authenticate anything.
    3) SWTOR works perfectly, no lag, full connection.

Anyone know why this access is limited?
Couple things I should also point out...
No Windows Defender/Virus/Firewall/etc is on, I tried "ipconfig /flushdns", I restarted my router multiple times.

Before I made the switch to this mobo and cpu, it was all working. (Switched from M4a79 Deluxe + Phenom x4 955 BE) to Intel.
