    LINE 1 OF SOUND CARD IN USE BY ANOTHER PROGRAM


    I use various software with audio from a radio to accomplish various functions. This has worked flawlessly until this week. I now get a flag everytime I try to open any software that uses LINE IN ,it says LINE IN OF THE SOUND CARD IN USE BY ANOTHER PROGRAM, the software I am trying to use stops and will not proceed to open.

    I still hear the audio from the radio out of my PC speakers.

    As far as I can tell there is no other software using the LINE IN audio.

    This seems to have occurred but I am not sure soon after I upgraded Windows 10 from version 1903 to 1909.

    I tried to upgrade and reload the Realtek audio drivers ,doesn't help.

    I am unable to revert back to Windows 10 version 1903,

    Audio settings are all correct ?

    Everything else on my PC works perfect.

    Any ideas.

    Good surround sound headset

    I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue LINE 1 OF SOUND CARD IN USE BY ANOTHER PROGRAM :p

    Sound Card Cannot be found on ACER aspire E5-511P


    "sound card cannot be found". Does the Device Manager list it, and with an error? Or is it no listed in the Device Manager?
    If its not listed at all, that suggests the BIOS is not detecting it or there is a BIOS error. Windows will not detect it if the BIOS does not.

    You can try a BIOS reset and see if that helps, if its not being detected by the BIOS.
