    Line in speaker issue

Trying to use a line in external speaker with our Dell laptop, been using it this way with no issues for almost a year up until this morning. Not sure if a setting got changed or what happened, but I can't seem to resolve the issue. When you play sound even with it all plugged in and volume turned up, it still is only coming from the laptop speakers not the line in speakers. And yes the cord is plugged in correctly, I even made sure it wasn't a faulty cord by trying it with other devices. How do I fix this issue?

    :)

    Hi Rachael,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I suggest you try the steps listed below and check if it works. This issue could be because of the Headphones BT SPEAKER Stereo being set as default. I suggest you to try the steps listed below and check if it works.

    • Right click the Windows icon on the taskbar and choose
      Device Manager.

and right click on your Bluetooth speaker (BT SPEAKER Stereo).
    • Choose Disable and acknowledge the confirmation popup. Wait for the screen to refresh.
    • Right click on the same device again and Enable.
