Link to Windows stuck on "Turn on your PC to finish linking"

    Hi,

    I have a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 on Android 11

My PC on Windows 10 Enterprise 20H2 OS Build 19042.804

is turned on. Link to Windows app on my phone does initially detect my PC by name so I click to agree to add it. Then next screen says

"Turn on your PC to finish linking"

Your Phone App is open on my PC of course.

When I click to continue on my Samsung phone, the "Check your PC. We're checking on one more thing....", the whirling symbol goes round forever and I can get no further. Similarly, on my PC on Your Phone App has "Please open Your Phone Companion - Link to Windows...." screen with a whirling symbol and this screen goes no further.

I've tried I think every solution I can find on the internet. On my second PC, Your Phone does link up with my Samsung phone and runs properly. Both PCs are connected via network cable to my network router. My Samsung phone is connected wirelessly.

Is there a tool available that can help diagnose the problem?

Can you make further suggestions on what I might try to resolve this issue?

    Kind regards,

    Julian

    :)

    All Gmail links fail

Thanks to Caledon Ken...your suggestion had no effect.

Thanks to bro67...Interestingly enough the Gmail link to this forum reply actually worked, as did your link to "How to Fix....." I tried steps 1 and 2 without success. Step 3 gave me the following screen, which didn't look like the article described. At any rate, the probem is unchanged...screenshot follows.
