    I have just found out that if you have bought a European/US E71 (as I did), and you do not have a PC (as I do, have a MacBook Pro with Mac OS X and Ubuntu), then there are billions of things you cannot do, like e.g. updating your firmware.

    This is outright pathetic.

    From now on I will search for a solution or for a way of wiping out Symbian, and replace it with something else.

    why won't slam via Bluetooth allow me to connect to my car as other phones do. can the phone be retro software updated to remove slam and allow straight Bluetooth connection. or is there a system to over ride slam.
