    Linux Mint Boot Manager (GRUB) Disappeared After Installing Windows 10


    Linux Mint was installed on Drive D. Windows 7 Was on Drive C. It was a dual booting machine. Then I installed Windows 10 on Windows 7. Deleted and formated C Drive. And when booted I have found only Windows 10 boot manager. Even though D drive remains good but Linux Mint GRUB is simply disappeared. How can I solve the problem? I want to see the list of all operating systems installed on my hard drive. How can I show Linux Mint on Windows Boot Manager or Windows 10 on Linux GRUB Boot Manger?

    moving my linux mint partition to another hard drive

    That would be safer indeed. To avoid any confusion, i would suggest you unplug your 3TB during installation.

    After the installation, plug the 3TB back online. At that point, both hard drives will be bootable, so you'll have to set the highest priority to your 1TB in the bios boot sequence.

    Boot on your freshly installed linux mint, and delete the old linux mint partition + associated swap, then run the sudo update-grub command, and your windows partition should be added to the bootloader menu.

    dual booting Windows and Linux

    I was wondering if theres a way when dual booting Windows 7 and Linux Mint, to have it boot Windows by default and possibly not show the GRUB menu, and if I press a certain key, have it boot linux instead?

    Is this even possible?
