Windows 10: 'list' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

Hi and good evening. Can anyone please help me.

My Windows 10 installation is working fine.

If I go to cmd prompt admin. That also works fine.

If I type 'dir', whilst in cmd prompt admin, that also works fine.

BUT.. if I type 'list disk'. It DOESN'T work???

Also, if I just type 'list' it also doesn't work.

In both cases I get the message:

'list' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

Can anyone please suggest a solution?

'notepad' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

When I try to open notepad using the command prompt, the following line shows up:

'notepad' is not recognized as an internal or external command,

operable program or batch file.

Please help me resolve it.
