Windows 10: List of Anti-Viruses working in Windows 10 TP

Recently, I saw many people asking about the working anti-viruses for Windows 10 Technical Preview, so I decided to create a thread and share the information. Because Sharing is Caring!
Here is list of some anti-viruses which are tested and found working on Windows 10 Technical Preview. [Note: Some of them might lack in their features]

Get rid of defender !

I agree you shouldn't install any third-party Anti-Malware for Windows 10 TP. The reason is other Anti-Malware products are not officially supported on Windows 10 TP, which means even though, you might be able to install them and run them, they haven't tested
properly with Windows 10 TP and they might not work well and cause error and problems.

You may only install them , if the manufacturer indicate their products is working and supported on Windows 10 TP. Of course during final release of Windows 10 TP , there would be many compatible version of Anti-Malware products but for now, it is better
you don't install any other Anti-Malware products.

 

BSOD Bad Pool Header after upgrading and while in use

I'm guessing Windows 10 can't hold two anti-virus programs.

(From another computer I used, it worked fine with two anti-viruses and I'm supposed to have the 2 anti-viruses installed)

(Is there another option?)

 

Thanx but did you try them yourself ? Last I heard from Avast site that it is not working on Win 10.

It's not anti-virus but I have Malwarebytes Pro running just fine in Windows 10

These are the anti-viruses which are tested by others and they said it worked. Anyways, thx for reporting. It is removed from the list.

 

I have ESET Smart Security working as expected.

I've been using Comodo Internet Security 8 Beta and it has been working fairly well for me in Windows 10 TP, I did notice that the "Fully Virtualized" sandbox wasn't working 100% correctly, sometimes things simply wouldn't launch in it. Worth bearing in mind is that it doesn't officially support Windows 10 yet.

One issue I did notice was when updating to build 9860 of Windows 10 TP, the firewall of CIS got trashed so I had to reinstall.

So generally it works fine, however it may have issues with Fully Virtualized sandboxing, although that could just be my system, don't know, either way I don't really use it, prefer HIPS.

 

New AVAST 2015 still will not install in W 10.

Thanks for the suggestion. Yes, some antiviruses will cause problems because they are not currently build specially for Windows 10.

 

Installing Avast in compatibility mode does not work either.
