  1. Listen to laptop speakers without unplugging headphones

Hello, does anybody know how to keep listening to laptop speakers even with headphones plugged in. The problem is my headphones akg k550 mk3 can not be recognized by windows as a separate audio device and there is no driver support for them. I tried some software solution (3-4 solutions from google searches) and no one could help me.

Speakers and headphones work at the same time

    Hi.

Let us isolate your concern by answering these few questions.

    • Have you tried connecting your headphones directly to your desktop?
    • Does your speaker work normally when connected to your desktop?
You may try the following steps to help resolve your concern:

    • Unplug or Disconnect your speaker from the desktop.
    • Connect your headphone directly to the desktop.
If the headphone works properly when directly connected to the desktop, we suggest that you contact your speaker manufacturer for assistance.

Let us know how it goes.

  3. Windows 10 headphones and speakers bug

    I have a Dell G7 laptop. Here's the problem:

    1. I plug in my headphones/earphones to the headphone jack. Works just fine.
    2. I keep the headphones plugged in, and then turn off my PC.
    3. I then unplug the headphones, and turn the PC on again.
    4. The computer thinks the headphones are still plugged in and the speakers don't work.
I have to plug and unplug the headphones again while the PC is on, for the speakers to work. Is this a bug? How do I fix this?

Speakers don't work after unplugging headphones when laptop is in sleep

I have an Asus UX303UB which came with Windows 10 Home.

Whenever I put my laptop to sleep with the headphones plugged in, and remove the headphones after the laptop goes to sleep, the speaker stops working when the laptop comes back from sleep. It doesn't start working until I plug the headphones in and pull
    them out again.

It's like the laptop thinks that the headphones are still plugged in. It's annoying because I keep doing this all the time. I listen to music on my headphones and when I'm done working, I put the laptop to sleep, unplug my headphones and put it in my bag.
Later on I take my laptop out for other things and there is no sound coming from the speakers anymore. I have to fish for my headphones, plug it in and out, and then the sound starts working.

The playback device doesn't change when my headphones are plugged in, so I can't change the playback device to fix it. The audio drivers are provided by a company called Conexant SmartAudio. Whenever this issue occurs, I can see that the SmartAudio UI thinks
my headphones are still plugged in, and there is no option that I can see to manually switch to laptop speakers, as it only shows the controls of the headphones.

This ultrabook has so many issues, I'm considering installing some Linux distro on it and forgetting all about the "niceties" on it, and switching back to my old HP laptop which has Windows 7 working reliably on it.
