Windows 10: "listen to this device"

I've been using a soundboard for a couple of days along with VB Audio Cable to play silly sound clips through game chat while I'm streaming. Today the feature "listen to this device" won't work, as you have the Virtual audio cable "listen" to the output of whatever you want it to play as an input. I have already stopped and started the windows audio service as I've found most Google searches provide you with the steps to do, and it seems to fix most people's issues, but this one persists. Any input is appreciated.

Listening audiobooks on Lumia 800 with WinPhone 7

I use to hear audiobooks on my Lumia 800 with WinPhone 7 so I’d like to find an app that:

• Allows to continue listening from the point it was previously stopped.
• Allows to reposition the listening back and forth in the piece.
• Shows the listening
  point in a size that does not require a
  magnifying glass to be seen.

Kindly suggest me some??

CORTANA IN LISTEN MODE

Thank you for your interest in Windows 10!

What is the edition of Windows 10 (Home, Education, Pro etc.)?

I understand you have issues with Cortana in the Listen mode. If you have Windows 10 PRO installed in the system, then I would suggest you to try the following steps to change some group policy settings.

    Press Windows key + R, type
    Gpedit.msc and hit ENTER.
    
  • 
    Go to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Search
    
  • 
    Check for: 'Allow Cortana' and 'Do not allow web search'
    – Make sure they are ‘Not Configured’ or set ‘Allow Cortana’ to Enabled and ‘Do not allow web search’ to Disabled
    
  • 
    Open an elevated command prompt and run:
    gpupdate /force
    
  • 
    Go to Settings > Verify and correct: Time, Region and Language
    
    And, then go to Settings > Apps and Features > Manage optional features > Download Speech Recognition and Text-to-speech
    

NOTE: The troubleshooting steps are only applicable to
Windows 10 PRO.

Mic Input Playing - While Listen To Device is disabled

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I suggest you to set microphone as default device and check.

• 
  Right click on the volume icon in the system tray and then click "Recording devices"
  
• 
  Right click on the blank space in the popped up window and then select "Show Disabled
  Devices" and "Show Disconnected Devices".
  
• 
  Right click on Microphone and then click "Enable".
  
  d) Highlight the microphone and then choose "Set as Default Device".
  
  e) Click Apply and OK.
  

I recommend you to run hardware troubleshooter and check if it helps.

• Type Troubleshooting in search box and open it.
• Click on Hardware and Sound
• Click on Hardware and Devices.
• Follow the instruction.

Please try to un-install and install sound driver and check if it helps

Follow the steps below.

• Press Windows + X, click on Device Manager.
• In the list of hardware categories, look for the device that you want to update, and then double-tap or double-click the device name.
• Click the Driver tab, tap or click
  Uninstall,

Download the latest driver from manufacturer’s website and install
