  1. Live Mail Attachments Saved as URLs

I very recently upgraded from W7 to W10. I still have Windows Live Mail as my mail application. I also recently tried to save several PDF attachments from an email to a folder on an internal RAID 1 array. For some reason when I attempt to open those files whose icons show them as PDFs I get a message "Can't Locate that page" in my browser with a URL that looks a lot like the internal file address in my computer. Why does the saved file and the transmitted file both show icons as PFDs but when I try to open the saved file it goes to my browser. I can open the transmitted files properly but when I try to save them from Adobe the end up being saved such that I go to the browser instead of Adobe Reader. Or have I missed changing a "feature" that I didn't know about to allow the correct application to be called for this situation?

    :)
