    Faulty Windows Media Player

    Windows Mesdis Player developed a fault (Played jerky an missed bits) so I down loaded Media Player 10.

    It's no better. Any suggestions (I run Windows 98)

    Live Streaming for Window media player at win 10

    Live Stream radio won't play on Win 10 Media Player

    Given that I use my laptop to play music and live stream radio in my workshop, I struggled with this and finally found a work around. Usually, I just click on either the link on the radio station, or having added a shortcut to my desktop, I click on that.
    Either approach routes me through Win 10's X Box thing. I have no idea why. What I am now doing is right clicking on the link/shortcut and opening with Windows Media Player. An extra step, for sure, but it works.

    Now the question is how to get other such links to use Media Play as the default versus that weird **** X Box thing. Any ideas?
