  1. LiveKernelEvent 141 Causing GPU crashes after windows update

    Relevant info:

Motherboard is a gigabyte z97x with the latest bios

    GTX 1080ti

Latest Nvidia drivers (tried clean reinstall)

Windows 10 pro Version 10.0.17134 Build 17134 (Latest updates)

I noticed in multiple games (Deus Ex: HR, Bf1, BF4, GTAV) That the screen will lag and then freeze. Seemingly the game will continue in the background because I still get sound, sometimes sound that even responds to inputs. Yes, I'm overclocking gpu, monitor, and cpu. However my overclocks have been stable for nearly 3 years now, and I do not believe them to be the issue. I also do not believe this to be a hardware problem because I can run furmark, and heaven benchmarks maxed out for much longer than games without problems.

    Reliability history gives me this:

    Problem Event Name: LiveKernelEvent
    Code: 141
    Parameter 1: ffffe70e2d96b1f0
    Parameter 2: fffff804fb84ec88
    Parameter 3: 0
    Parameter 4: 26b0
    OS version: 10_0_17134
    Service Pack: 0_0
    Product: 256_1
    OS Version: 10.0.17134.2.0.0.256.48
    Locale ID: 1033

I also notice deviceCensus.exe crashes, not sure if related.

I had four windows updates that happened right before (Within minutes) the first crash. They are:

    - Installation Successful: Windows successfully installed the following update: Definition Update for Windows Defender Antivirus - KB2267602 (Definition 1.271.1003.0)

    - Installation Successful: Windows successfully installed the following update: 9WZDNCRFJBMP-MICROSOFT.WINDOWSSTORE

    - Installation Successful: Windows successfully installed the following update: 2018-06 Security Update for Adobe Flash Player for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64-based Systems (KB4287903)

    - Installation Successful: Windows successfully installed the following update: 2018-07 Security Update for Adobe Flash Player for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64-based Systems (KB4338832)

    The last clue:

I ran the windows store troubleshooter that found a problem with apps crashing and not responding. It reset the apps successfully, but the problem continues. I suspect that this update is the culprit: 9WZDNCRFJBMP-MICROSOFT.WINDOWSSTORE, but I'm not sure how to fix it. I've tried disabling as many options as I can for the windows store and telemetry, but the problem persists. I'm not sure where to look next.

    :)

LiveKernelEvent 141 Causing Blackscreens, crashes, and restarts

    Did you changed GPU too?

*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for atikmdag.sys

*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for atikmdag.sys

It looks to be causing the crash.

Skipping Reinstalling drivers, if it is under warranty, ask for a replacement.

    If not,

Try using the GPU in another computer and see if it exhibits the same behaviour.
