Windows 10: Loading Older Software on New Win 10 Asus

I just bought an Asus E203M Notebook and love it!

But when I tried to load my old MS Office 2003 (I know, I'm a dinosaur - it has stuff I like)

I get a message about trusted software and the MS Store.

How do I authorize it to run exe for my Office 2003 CDs?

Sorry for the delay in reply.

What happens when you try to install the software?

I suggest you to re -install the software and check.

Try the following steps to un-install:

• Right click on Start menu, click Programs and features
• Select Asus Xonar D2 highlight it and uninstall
• Now download and -reinstall the software and check if that helps.

Installing older software in Win 10

Dear Community,

I upgraded from win 7 to 10 (x64) without difficulty; an older software program that I use frequently, Harvard Chart XL Version 3, runs without difficulty.

On a different computer Win 10 (x64) was installed and I am trying to install Harvard Chart from the installation CD but when I try to run the "Setup" file, nothing happens. I receive no error messages, the computer thinks for a while and then nothing else
... I have tried running under various compatibility modes but to no avail.

Is there some way that I can load it onto my computer; from the experience of upgrading from Win 7 to 10, it appears that once loaded there is no difficulty in the program running.

ASUS Motherboard compatibility

I've upgraded older pc's with 11 or 10 year old MOBO's from XP thru Win7 then Win10 with no issues. But I do keep all my drivers up to date regularly. As mentioned by others old drivers can be a problem. Check your BIOS too. While it may not be needed I'd tend to update if there is a new one. Cheers.
