  1. loading up windows 10

I'm not sure exactly what happened with my laptop but I will try and explain my issue as best as I can, I purchased a refurbished laptop from a website I used in the past back in May this year, when it arrived I followed the instructions on how to start windows 10 and for the first few days it worked alright except for the mouse pointer was moving around the screen without any help from me, but if I pushed the middle button just above my finger pad and used my other hand on the mouse I could get by working on it for now.

But just over a week ago I put my laptop into sleep mode (or at least I thought I did) and when I returned to start it back up it was as if I shut it down completely instead of sleep, but something was different, it wouldn't load up instead it would only go as far as a blue screen saying that there was a system licence violation and to contact Microsoft about it, but since I didn't have a working phone I chose to try and find out whats going wrong on here first. I posted a question previously but those suggestions did not work, so I'm posting what happens when I try starting my laptop.

The Dell screen comes up first followed by the windows screen but this was not displaying the circle of dots as it did before when loading up, and the next was the blue screen saying that a system Licence violation happened and to contact Microsoft windows and tell them in order to correct it but I have no phone.

During the weekend I tried looking up any information I could about this and that's when I first posted my question and I got some ideas to try but I didn't get any further than the blue screen saying to try either restart or trying advanced options but I didn't want to try that in case I made thing worse for myself and my laptop.

One other thing I should mention is when I was trying the suggestions I noticed on settings that my refurbished laptop only had as far as windows 8 on it so I contacted DELL and was told that my model laptop was never tested to see if 10 would work, could this have something to do with what I'm experiencing? Any other suggestions on what I have said here would be great as I cant use my computer until I fix this.

    Thanks

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
