  1. Local Account Shenanigans (read details)

So basically, here's what happened. I know it's long, but bear with me:
When I got my computer, the default username, and name of the User folder, was moazk by default. I wanted to change this, so I followed instructions on this page to change it. I tried the first solution, but the second one (the one with 42 votes) is the one that worked for me. That was the first thing I did when setting this new computer up for my own personal use. After that, I installed a lot of different programs and did a lot of things. It should be noted that the name I set for the User folder was in Arabic.

This comes into note for two reasons.

The first is that I tried to zip a folder, but for some odd reason, it claimed that I can't zip it because of unrecognized characters. I was able to circumvent this easily as this only applied to the User folder and not the folder I was trying to zip nor any of the files within that folder.

The second issue, and the harder one to deal with, is that I tried to use Microsoft OneNote, only for it to give me the classic error where it can't make a note at all. I couldn't really try much because it gave this message to me before it let me even try to click ANYTHING! I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, but to no avail. Also, before anyone asks, yes, I can legally used Microsoft Office, so nothing here is pirated. My thought was that, since it was telling me that it was having trouble finding a certain folder or file, that I should change my User folder name back to moazk since it didn't even let me try to choose any other folder path, insisting on a single one without telling me which one specifically. I went through the steps to do this, and somehow, my account on this PC got set back to square one. My files are completely gone for some stupid reason (though I have backups of most of those) but my account settings are all reverted back to what they were before I customized anything. Worse than that, though, is the fact that I had a certain piece of software for which I paid good money, and when I tried to boot it up, it doesn't recognize that I paid for it and asked me for the serial number, which I already used up and sadly can't reuse on what's literally the same account on the same computer. Oh, and OneNote now won't even start up at all. Previously, it would start up and shove this error message in my face before I could do anything. Now, it just does absolutely nothing.

My main question is whether I could go back to the account that I had before trying to make OneNote work, and how to SUCCESSFULLY make it work. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.

  2. Local account installation question

I'm fairly certain that Skip this step was available in 10.0.130 - the workaround in Step 20 (back button) is no longer required.

The currently known, as of 10.0.130, ways to create a Local account sign-in are
    • Skip this step at the MS account creation phase
    • No Internet connection during the install
    • static IP (post# 2 by Fragment) - New (to me anyway)
