Windows 10: Local Area Connection Missing

Under Windows 10, the Local Area Connection Ethernet has disappeared from the network connections list. When trying to troubleshoot the problem, the message that is delivered is "An Ethernet cable is not properly plugged in or might be broken Not fixed". The same connection works on a Windows 7 system with no problem, and if I roll back the latest Windows update, the connection will reappear. How to fix this?

Missing field Connect using in Local Area Connection Properties

Have you tried uninstalling the Network Adapter? Since there is no properties in the Local Area Connection, we suggest that you uninstall the Network Adapter. Follow the steps below:

• Press Windows Key + R.
• Type devmgmt.msc.
• Right click on the Network Adapter.
• Select Uninstall.
• Select Ok.
• Select Scan for Hardware changes.

Update us on the results.

The Local Area Connection Missing Windows 10 error may be caused by windows system files damage. The corrupted system files entries can be a real threat to the wellbeing of your computer.

There can be many events which may have resulted in the system files errors. An incomplete installation, an incomplete uninstall, improper deletion of applications or hardware. It can also be caused if your computer is recovered from a virus or adware/spyware

What is the error message that you get after enabling local area connection?



You may also restart the pc and Plug in the cable properly into to check if that helps.
