Windows 10: Local Driver Service cannot be started after being stopped.

Hello,I needed to stop the Local Driver Service service to delete app's files that had .dll on it after removing the app via File Explorer. I stopped the service, deleted the files for the app and it was successful. I tried to turn back on Local Driver Service and it wouldn't.Please help me! Did I screw something up?

The Windows Defender Service on Local Computer started and then stopped.

Had the same problem. I was using Spybot Search and Destroy for antispyware. I found the entries in the local services list. I right clicked Spybot Search and Destroy Scanner Services and chose Stop. To do this you have to be logged in as Administrator.
The list now shows Defender is running.

Defender seems to have an antispyware feature that conflicts with Spybot. This was not the case in Windows 8.1.

I would suggest you check if the print spooler is running. Start/Stop print spooler service. Follow the steps below.

• 
  Press Windows key + R, type services.msc
  and press Enter.
  
• 
  From the list, locate Print Spooler service.
  
• 
  Double click on the service and select Stop.
  
• 
  Restart the computer, repeat step 1&2.
  
• 
  Double click on the service and check if the service is started.

I suggest you to start the services for Peer Networking and check if it helps.

Three particular Windows services manage peer-to-peer networking, and all computers in you are trying to connect should have the same settings in order to reduce error messages and connection problems.

Step 1: Stop the services.

• Press Windows Key + R on the keyboard and type
  services.msc, Services window gets opened.
• Search for Peer Name Resolution Protocol service, right click on it and click on
  Stop.
• Do the same for Peer Networking Group
  and Peer Networking Identity Manager.
• Restart the computer.

Step 2: Start the service and set it to automatic:

• Press Windows Key + R on the keyboard and type
  services.msc, Services window gets opened.
• Search for Peer Name Resolution Protocol
  service, right click on it and click on
  Properties.
• Do the same for Peer Networking Group
  and Peer Networking Identity Manager.
• Start the service, set
  Startup type to Automatic.
