    Tried all solutions at"https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/cant-connect-to-network-share-get-error-0x80004005/7f12471c-2e33-472b-9b0b-6643666a4ef4"Direct cable connection. Also tied a WiFi connection. I can see computer but not drives.Thanks

    Switching to a local account - error: 0x80004005

    Hi Kas,

    Error 0x80004005 is an unspecified error that normally occurs seen when the user cannot access Shared Folders, Drives, and also when Windows Updates fails to install. With this in mind, we would like to know more details:

    • Before trying to switch to a local account, what was your last activity on your computer? Was there an upgrade or update installed?
    • Are you the account administrator on this computer?

    • Sign-in with your Microsoft Account.
    Now, try to switch to a local account.

    Cannot install local/network HP 1102 printer. administrator keeps blocking app.

    Hi Chris,

    • Is your Printer connected to a Local network or Domain network?
    • Do you get any error message?
    As an initial troubleshooting step, I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the same issue occurs here as well.

    Here are the steps:

    • Go to Settings.
    • Choose Accounts and then select
      Family and other users
      .
    • Select add someone else on this PC.
    • Enter a user name and hit next.
    • Click on Finish.
    • Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.
