  1. Local offline WLAN network issues

I have used offline wlan networks with tplink routers for years with no issues however after a windows update the devices connect to the network but don't communicate any more and don't recognise they are connected to a network even though they are.The Icon used to show connected radial quadrant however now shows the framework globe not connected even when it is connected.I'm sure there is an easy fix for this and have tried lots of things but nothing seems to change the icon and the actual communication between devices.

    :)

  2. Windows could not start the WLAN AutoConfig service on Local Computer

I need some help to get my wireless connection to work again.

    • After recent Windows 10 Update, my wireless connection no longer works. I've done some troubleshooting and I have ruled out my ISP, cable modem, and router, leaving the issue to be something within the computer (Dell laptop - Inspiron 7537).
    • The wired connection works fine
    • When I run Windows Network Diagnosis, it tells me that the Windows Wireless Service is not running (see attached pdf report)
    • When I try to manually start the WLANSVC service, i get an error message that says "Windows could not start the WLAN AutoConfig service on Local Computer Error 193:0xc1" (see attached)
    • When I try to manually start the WLANSVC service from the command prompt (as Admin) I get a slightly different message that says "The WLAN AutoConfig service is starting. The WLAN AutoConfig service could not be started. A system error has occurred. System error 193 has occurred. *** is not a valid Win32 application." (see attached)
    • I've downloaded the latest Intell PROset Wireless drivers from Dell (V18.20.0.9) for the Wireless-N 7260 wireless network adapter and have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers. This didn't help.
    • I've attached some screenshots and a pdf copy of the Windows Network Diagnostics report.

    Networked Printer showing "Offline"

    Hey guys,

I'm having a slight issue with one of my printers in that it's showing offline and I can't print to it.

It's a Datamax label printer which is connected to my network via a Netgear print server, this has then be added to one of my servers for sharing etc.

So far I've tried the below.

    - Classic on/off.
    - Removing from server and re-adding.
    - Ensuring that under port configuration SNMP Status is disabled.
    - Assigning to different IP.
    - Restarting Print Spooler.

I can ping it fine and the printer itself is letting me do manual test prints using its interface, but no matter what I cannot get it to stop showing up as offline and allowing me to print to it over the network. I should add that it's worked fine for the past year.

    Any suggestions?

    Local offline WLAN network issues

E71 web browser will search for WLAN connection in offline mode without asking

The E71 web browser will search for and present a list of WLANs whilst the phone is in offline mode without asking first. When you then select a WLAN from the list, it does ask if you wish to create a WLAN connection in offline mode. Surely it should ask
    before searching?
