Windows 10: Local profile on Windows 10 Enterprise gets deleted without clear cause

Maybe someone has insights for me: We have W10 Enterprise laptops at our company and more often than not, when someone has been on holidays and their company laptop is booted after 2+ weeks of inactivity, they find their local profile data gone. Today I have had six people reporting the issue.Downloads folder, documents folder, desktop folder, all emptied out. Installed apps for all users remain, but local apps and folders on the desktop disappear or are cleared out. In C:\Users you can see the profile has been recreated last modified on the date it occurs.There are no policies active that

New Local Account Not Working In Windows 10

Hi Scott,

This issue could have happened due to corrupted profile on your Windows 10. We suggest that you delete the non-working profile on your PC and try to register it again.

To delete your non-working account, we suggest that you follow these steps:

• Click on the *Start menu**. It's the Windows logo in the bottom left of your screen.

Deleting old MS account profile photos

Are you referring to the local account profile picture? If you are, there's no automatic method of deleting profile picture. However, you can still remove unwanted profile pictures through
Windows Explorer. Follow the steps below:

• Select the Start button.
• Copy and paste the path below and then press Enter.
  • %appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\AccountPictures
• Delete the unwanted profile picture.
