    Like many folks I received a device security alert. It appeared on May 3. Upon going to Device Security > Go to Settings , Local Security Authority isn't there under Core Isolations. I have done multiple virus, and threat protection scans and have restarted my computer a few times. I know this is likely just a bug and I am **probably** protected but how do I verify that I am. I need to be making some purchases and doing secure things on my computer and I don't feel safe in doing so until, I am sure. I have tried to copy and paste screen shots here in the post, but it won't let me, thus I ha

  2. Local Security Authority protection Bug?

    Open an admin Command Prompt and run these two commands:

    • reg add "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa" /v "RunAsPPL" /t REG_DWORD /d 2 /f
    • reg add "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa" /v "RunAsPPLBoot" /t REG_DWORD /d 2 /f
    Restart Windows. That should clear the yellow exclamation warning.
