  1. Local Security Authority Process is using up over half of my computer memory

I have had this problem with slow computer performance for awhile now. When checking the programs running on my task manager, I discovered that over half of my computer memory is being taken up by the Local Security Authority Process, including one-fifth of my CPU and disk. I do not think this is normal. I have performed an anti-virus scan with McAfee, and no viruses are found. I have a gaming computer, so my performance should be better than it currently is. Additionally, I discovered today that memory integrity cannot be turned on by Windows Security. I think this issue may be related.

How to fix Local Security Authority Process (lsass.exe) using so much memory and CPU?

Whenever I use my laptop (Dell XPS 13 9300), Local Security Authority Process (lsass.exe) constantly uses a ton of my CPU and memory, to the point that my computer is always slowed down and the fans are constantly running at full speed. I'm currently running Windows 11, was running Windows 10 until recently and had the same issue. I also looked online for help with this issue but none of the posts I found's solutions solved the problem. What should I try to fix this? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
