Local Security Authority Protection is off - Windows 11

A yellow triangle appeared on the windows defender icon on the bottom right of my task bar. I clicked on it and I found that under Device Security, the Local Security Authority Protection is off. There is no other information when I click Go to Settings. Is there a fix to this? Also, before this issue arised, I used to have a message saying Kernal_Mode_Hardware_Stack_Proctection is off, but now that no longer shows since i updated my drivers. I don't know if this could be related to the issue above, just thought it was worth mentioning.

    :)

  2. Local Security Authority protection Bug?

Open an admin Command Prompt and run these two commands:

    • reg add "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa" /v "RunAsPPL" /t REG_DWORD /d 2 /f
    • reg add "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa" /v "RunAsPPLBoot" /t REG_DWORD /d 2 /f
Restart Windows. That should clear the yellow exclamation warning.
