I'm getting an Actions Recommended message on Windows. It is regarding the Device Security that comes built into your device."Local Security Authority protection is off. Your device may be vulnerable." This is the first time I see this error message and don't know how to fix it. The only option below this message is "Dismiss". Thanks

    :)

  2. Local Security Authority protection Bug?

Open an admin Command Prompt and run these two commands:

    • reg add "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa" /v "RunAsPPL" /t REG_DWORD /d 2 /f
    • reg add "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa" /v "RunAsPPLBoot" /t REG_DWORD /d 2 /f
Restart Windows. That should clear the yellow exclamation warning.

Device Security - Local Security Authority Protection is off. Your device may be vulnerable.

I am using Windows 11 64bit and on windows security I can see that my Device Security is turned off and it says "Device Security - Local Security Authority Protection is off. Your device may be vulnerable". I get two choices which is "dismiss" and "Go to Settings". When I click dismiss the error just comes back when I restart my pc.

When I click go to settings, I get another error that says "page not available, The page you are trying to access has no supported features and is not available". I have no other anti-virus software and secure boot state is turned on.

What do I do? This is becoming quite worrisome and I would appreciate the aid.

I should also mention that when I go into Device Security. At the top it still says Local security authority protection is off. Your device may be vulnerable.

Security Processor has a green tick, So I assume its on.

Secure boot also has a green tick.

But at the bottom it says Standard hardware security not supported.

I am on a custom built PC if that helps.
