    Hello,I got on my 1 week old rig that I built. I had this message from Microsoft defender about this Local Security Authority Protection being off. I tried installing a new update to see if it would fix but it has not. I read another forum online saying I needed to fix something in Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa. When I went there, the DWORD file thingy they wanted me to change the value on was not there. When I looked into creating it, I wasn't sure which one to go, DWORD 32 bit or 64 bit. I don't know if I'm being compromised or if I need to fix this asap bu

    Local Security Authority protection Bug?

    Open an admin Command Prompt and run these two commands:

    • reg add "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa" /v "RunAsPPL" /t REG_DWORD /d 2 /f
    • reg add "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa" /v "RunAsPPLBoot" /t REG_DWORD /d 2 /f
    Restart Windows. That should clear the yellow exclamation warning.

    Alternatively, open an admin Command Prompt and run these two commands:
