Local Security Authority Protection is on, but Windows Security says it's off? ****?

After the last update, Windows Security tries to warn me that Local Security Authority Protection is not on, but it is on.I looked into it and it's telling me that the TPM module is not turned on in my BIOS, BUT it is, and when I check TPM it tells me that it is in fact also active.....Can I get a tech in here to try to explain this to me?Thanks, BUT hey, that new BING bubble in the top right corner of my Edge browser is working.....lol

    :)

  2. Local Security Authority Protection

I have the security Action badge indicating to me that Windows security Action is required.

I open up by clicking the badge and see the notice that the Local Security Authority Protection is required to be turned on and restart the computer to which I perform those two actions.

After my computer is reloaded the Security Badge still requires me to turn Local Security Authority Protection on, as I have already done.

  4. Local Security Authority Protection is on, but Windows Security says it's off? ****?

The local security authority protection is apparently off, but the icon is "on". I have restarted the computer several times.

    Hi BC1950,

Open an admin Command Prompt and run these two commands:

    • reg add "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa" /v "RunAsPPL" /t REG_DWORD /d 2 /f
    • reg add "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa" /v "RunAsPPLBoot" /t REG_DWORD /d 2 /f
Restart Windows. That should clear the yellow exclamation warning.
