Discus and support Local Temp folder filling up with huge mservice.txt files in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; Hello,I'm using Windows 11. My Local temp folder for my user C:\Users\profile\AppData\Local\Temp is filling up with these huge text files 35-45 GB each...     Hello,I'm using Windows 11. My Local temp folder for my user C:\Users\profile\AppData\Local\Temp is filling up with these huge text files 35-45 GB each that are a date format followed by mservice.txt. There is one for each day for about the past week, for example the one for today is formatted as 2023-02-07_mservice.txt.I was able to delete all of the files except the one for today as my computer said the file was still in use. I can look in my file explorer and literally see the size of today's file quickly growing it's grown from 16.8 GB to 17.6 GB just in the time it has taken me to

    Hi Juozas

    Windows has two Temp folders, one is located in your user profile folder (C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Local\Tamp) and the other is C:\Windows\Temp

    I suspect it is the System Temp folder (C:\Windows\Temp) that is filling up

    Open File Explorer, then navigate to that folder, is that full of thousands of evtx ot appx files?

    Generating a .txt based file list in Windows 7

    I want to be able to generate a .txt file that lists all the files and folders in a specific folder on my PC, but don't know the name of any programs that do that. Searched on google a bit and came up with this guide, but it's for XP and I can't seem to find some of the folder options to modify the .bat file. Any suggestions? Thanks

    EDIT: The .bat file will do what I want if it is in the folder I want to do it in, but the option I want to add is having the right click option that it shows.

    Windows 10 Temp folder filling up with thousands of files

    I hope I got everyone who tried to help with this issue with a "thanks". I did try everyone's suggestions and almost gave up, but I went through some of the other files in some of the folders and kept seeing MS Visual Studio. Then I went though the Installed programs list and uninstalled both MS Visual Studio Tools and MS Visual Studio.

    That fixed the constant filling up of the %temp% folder. Once again, thank you to everyone who tried to help. All good food for thought. Thanks again. Frank
