  1. LocaleBuilder can not create custom locale for ckb-IQ

    Hello.

    We have used Resources.ckb-IQ.resx.

To build dll for ckb-IQ, we created ckb-IQ.msi on Windows 7 and it has been working well.

But that ckb-IQ.msi is not working on Windows 10.

So, I tried to create ckb-IQ.msi again using LocaleBuilder on Windows 10.

    (I downloaded it from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=41158)

But I couldn't create it with the following pop-up.

"Locale Builder could not proceed due to following issue:

Use culture name ku-Arab-IQ instead of alternate sort name ckb-IQ to replace system culture ku-Arab-IQ"

We already have many projects that use ckb-IQ resx.

How can I create custom locale for ckb-IQ?

    :)

  2. Local account installation question

I'm fairly certain that Skip this step was available in 10.0.130 - the workaround in Step 20 (back button) is no longer required.

The currently known, as of 10.0.130, ways to create a Local account sign-in are
    • Skip this step at the MS account creation phase
    • No Internet connection during the install
    • static IP (post# 2 by Fragment) - New (to me anyway)

    Carrier IQ

Please keep in mind no one from Microsoft has yet to respond to your query.

This Carrier IQ thing is very new. However, they do list the platforms they support and Windows Phone 7 is not one of them. As well, no Windows Phone has been picked out of this scanal. Even Apple has responded to this. I have a feeling Windows Mobile could
have had this, but so far there's been no evidence to or for Carrier IQ on WP7.

    EDIT: Here you go:

AT&T admits to using Carrier IQ, Samsung passes the buck,
    Microsoft and HP deny
    Windows Phone or webOS involvement

LocaleBuilder can not create custom locale for ckb-IQ

    Carrier IQ

The only party who could add such a thing as Carrier IQ to the phone would be Microsoft itself. No third-party app has this sort of high-level access to the phone. A sideloaded native app might, but that's going into the Chevron unlock/homebrew scene,
where you're downloading on trust anyway.

Each app on the Marketplace has a predefined list of capabilities that it can use to access phone functions as well as any extras that are listed on the store's app page.
