Windows 10: Location Access Assistance

I have recently noticed that my location has been disabled and is now showing in settings as "Some of these settings are hidden or managed by your organization". I have no idea how this happened. I am not a member of an organization, I do not have any work or school accounts on this laptop. I only use it for gaming and youtube. I use location access with one of the gaming apps I use. I get location based rewards and I need location to do it. I have tried everything I can find using a Google search and nothing has worked, I have even done a system restore. I have checked antivirus and firewall

One possible cause is that these applications base the location from your Internet Service Provider's IP location. Furthermore, for us to better assist you, we'd like to know the following:

• Confirm which build is currently installed on your device. To check, follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key + R, then type in winver.
• Click OK.

• Have you tried setting you default location under Settings? To check, refer to the steps below:

• Press Windows key + I, then select Privacy.
• Go to Location. Under Default location, click on
  Set default.

• Which browser are you using to access the said websites?

Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.

Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
3. Select add someone else on this PC.
4. Enter a user name and hit next.
5. Click on Finish.
6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.

Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.

 

my location on maps app is wrong.

I suggest you to follow the below methods and check if it helps.

Kindly follow the below steps and check if it helps.

• Type Location privacy settings in search bar
  and click on Location privacy settings.
• Here you can enable/disable the Location.
• You may try to Enable/Disable the Maps app to use the
  location or not from the apps list.
