  2. How to move AppData files from C: to D: ?

    . @Megahertz: That's a very generous offer. Unfortunately, I no longer have the mental concentration needed to implement such a complex procedure. The @Brink method is 1-step. But I can't find the tutorial. BTW: For some reason, the following tutorial index seems easier to use than the index given within the tutorial section: Ten Forums Tutorials - Google Drive Thanks - - - Updated - - - .
    . How to Add or Remove Location tab in Folder Properties in Windows 10 Thanks .

    Move my c:/Users/{profile} to the D:/users/{profile}

    largonaut:

    The instructions in that link did not show a way to stop syncing.

    I Stopped OneDrive.

    New situation

    Quick Access >> Documents has:

    • Location: C:\Users\{j}\OneDrive
    • Has a Location Tab.
    • Most of the files are still there. The files are all shortcuts.
    c:\Users\{j}\Documents

    • Still an empty folder
    • Location: C:\Users\{j}
    • No Location tab
    • No Link

    This Still did not help.

    Thank you for trying

    I created another user "Dummy" that has not MS login is a local account.

    C:\Users\Dummy\Documents Has

    • Location: C:\Users\Dummy
    • No Location tab.

    OneDrive should have no affect on this account.

    ----

    Found that when logged in as Dummy the C:\Users\Dummy\Documents now has the Location tab

  4. "Location is not available" C:\Users\[profile]\AppData

    Unable to point Windows to proper C:/User profile

    When restoring your files you should direct them to the new profile location. This command will tell you its name:

    echo %UserProfile%

    I suggest you only restore these folders:

    • Desktop
    • Documents
    • Downloads
    • Music
    • Pictures
    • Videos
