Windows 10: Location not available, Folder was deleted

Hi,Im on Window 11.I deleted a game folder previously and I'm not sure if i have deleted the game or the game folder, because it still appears on my disk but when i try to open it, the dialog box says as shown in the image attached. and when i try to delete it says "This is no longer located in C:\Games. Verify the item's location and try again.but i installed it in the same folder and it appears to be that im unable to delete the folder. and when i check this on "WizTree" application, it shows the folder with 5.2GB size. and im not sure if this is actually consuming my storage or if it's a fa

Trouble deleting a folder

Thanks for the suggestion but it says "delete folder failed for E:\....." for each folder I try.

Vista Ultimate - 'User' Folder Location

No tried that.

Can copy the entire folder to D; but Windows still points to C as the location. Can change personal folders location to a folder on D;, but this still leaves hidden files etc on C;. Thus meaning there are 2 Users folders. Have managed to change the Public folder location to D;, with some registry tweaks, but this doesnt seem to work for the entire folder.

any more suggestions

 

restoring a deleted file or folder to a different location

I've been caught numerous times by "implied" questions. No more.

If you're lucky then the folder is still available in the Recycle Bin. You can restore it from there, but only to the original location. You should now do this:

1. If the original folder still exists in Windows Explorer, rename it, e.g. by adding the suffix .org.
2. Right-click the deleted folder in the Recycle Bin, then left-click "Restore".
3. Consider implementing a robust backup scheme. Lots of people defer this step until they suffer a major catastrophe. We see their posts regularly in this forum.
