Location of installments of programs and others

After installing a program it is saved 'somewhere or sometimes somewhere it is never been found back again.'

Parts of programs or the programs itself installs itself on, for example:

    - Program Files

    - Program Files (x86)

    - Documents

    - User

    - Appdata

    - Local

    - Or other folders

The problem is to me is that when entering a new Path, I have to look up so much stuff.

However, some re-arrangement of the wires could help the trouble to lessen.

    1. Is it possible to install the all the programs to Program Files instead of Program Files (x86), Local, or User?

Also, the main user folder with 'Documents, Downloads, Favorites, Links, Pictures, etc.,' including the stuff installed with programs in this main user folder; looks messy. I think nobody uses even this folder to access or save documents to. If you save a file to Documents, it is messed up in between all those other documents. Besides that, where should people save their photos, in Documents or Pictures? It does not make any sense (assumption).

    2. How to clean or make these defaults more clear (I can delete all the folders, but do I now mess up my computer with that)?

    :)

  2. Why did the startup window get cleared?

I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.
